About The Position

Powerlink Healthcare Services is hiring a Housekeeper to join its Operations team at the Phoenix Veterans Homes. The role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the community, including resident units and common areas, and providing laundry and cleaning services. These services help ensure a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and the public. Work must follow facility policies and procedures and comply with applicable state and federal laws and regulations to support residents’ quality of life. The company provides integrated services to long-term care and senior living facilities, including food and nutrition, housekeeping and laundry, and facility maintenance.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Compassionate and dependable.
Desire to work with veterans.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to communicate effectively.
Must pass a criminal background check.
Must speak and read fluent English.

Nice To Haves

Housekeeping experience is preferred, but the employer will train the right person.

Responsibilities

Sweep, scrub, and mop floors.
Vacuum carpets and rugs.
Dust and polish furniture.
Empty and clean garbage containers.
Dispose of garbage in a sanitary manner.
Clean glass surfaces.
Make beds and change linens.
Clean mirrors, toilets, and showers.
Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
Provide laundry and cleaning services to maintain a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment.
