About The Position

Westminster Winter Park, a not-for-profit Active Living Community serving older adults, is hiring a full-time Housekeeper. The position cleans residences, apartments, Health Center rooms and bathrooms, dining areas, and residential common areas. The role may require working outdoors in varying weather and transferring between buildings. Employees must be flexible to work every other weekend. The role includes daily cleaning and sanitizing of assigned areas, preparing Health Center rooms after move-outs or before move-ins, maintaining dining areas, and removing garbage. Biohazard waste is handled by a contracted vendor. Cleaning duties may also be provided to independent residents as contracted. The employer encourages annual influenza vaccination for healthcare personnel. Employees may need to provide proof of current seasonal vaccination or submit a written declination and comply with applicable protective measures, such as wearing a surgical mask during flu season. Medical and religious exemptions will be considered. New hires are subject to drug testing and criminal background screening.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent.
Up to one month of related experience or training.
Flexibility to work every other weekend.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with older adults in a healthcare setting is desirable, preferably at least six months.

Responsibilities

Clean homes, condominiums, studio apartments, Health Center rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
Sanitize Health Center rooms after move-outs or before move-ins.
Clean and sanitize dining areas at least twice daily.
Clean, dust, sanitize, sweep, mop, and vacuum assigned work areas daily.
Remove garbage, including coordinating biohazard removal by a contracted vendor.
Perform cleaning duties for independent residents as contracted.
Work outdoors in varying weather and transfer between buildings as needed.
