About The Position

The Housekeeper demonstrates and promotes a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates. The position is responsible for cleaning guest rooms in accordance with company guidelines and procedures, and for maintaining overall hotel cleanliness. The associate may also be asked to travel to help additional locations within a reasonable geography.

Requirements

No prior experience or training is necessary.
Understand instructions, policies, and guidelines, and communicate effectively with the manager and staff.
Follow guidelines and adhere to time objectives, productivity measurements, and other company standards and expectations.
Apply good judgment at all times.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned guest rooms in adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
Maintain housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas to company standards while in use; stock carts and cart rooms when necessary or directed by management.
Report maintenance issues directly to the front desk and/or manager on duty.
Report guest property remaining in a check-out room directly to the front desk and manager on duty.
Assist with and provide reasonable accommodation in response to guest requests whenever possible and practical.
Comply with safety and security policies and procedures.
Complete all required and annual Extended Stay University training.
Clean other hotel areas as assigned by the manager, including associate breakrooms, guest laundry, fitness rooms, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas.
Maintain overall hotel cleanliness and perform other duties assigned by the management team.
