About The Position
Friendship is hiring a Housekeeper for the Friendship Richfield Health Center in Salem, Virginia. The Housekeeper is responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of facility and resident areas. The available shift is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and includes every other weekend. The position also includes laundry duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge and understanding of SDS manuals, infectious and biohazard waste, and environmental protocols.
- The position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching throughout the day.
- Must frequently lift or move objects weighing over 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Housekeeping experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Wash beds and mattresses and make unoccupied beds.
- Clean medical equipment, including wheelchairs and stretchers.
- Clean dayrooms, replace table linens, and clean the floor after each meal.
- Remove soiled linens and replace them with clean linens; provide extra linens as requested.
- Prepare hampers daily for soiled linens and incontinent products.
- Prepare resident clothing for laundry pickup and return cleaned clothing to residents' closets.
