Work is primarily performed in the shop, with regional travel to service equipment in the field when it cannot be brought in for repairs. The position is full-time and based at 708 South 100 West, Richfield, Utah 84701. The starting wage is $30.75 per hour, with higher offers based on experience. The role includes equipment maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, repair, fabrication, testing, parts ordering, inventory paperwork, and emergency field service. The mechanic must participate in the Regional Snow Removal Plan, operating heavy equipment to plow snow and manage ice on state highways as needed. Physical work includes lifting more than 50 pounds and working in restricted spaces by crawling, crouching, or climbing. Work takes place around heavy machinery and chemicals and requires strict adherence to safety protocols. Applicants must provide their own full set of mechanic tools; a tool allowance is provided.
