About The Position

Friendship is seeking Housekeepers to join the Friendship Richfield Health Center team in Salem, Virginia. The Housekeeper is responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of facility and resident areas. The available shift is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and includes every other weekend. The role also includes laundry work.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge and understanding of SDS manuals, infectious and biohazard waste, and environmental protocols.
The role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching throughout the day.
Frequently lift or move objects weighing over 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Wash beds and mattresses and make unoccupied beds.
Clean medical equipment, including wheelchairs and stretchers.
Clean dayrooms, replace table linens, and clean the floor after each meal.
Remove soiled linens and replace them with clean linens; provide extra linens as requested.
Prepare hampers daily for soiled linens and incontinent products.
Prepare resident clothing for laundry pickup and return cleaned clothing to residents’ closets.
Perform laundry work.
