About The Position

Harbor Oaks Hospital is seeking a Housekeeper to join its Environmental Services (EVS) team at its mental health and addiction treatment facility in New Baltimore, Michigan. The role performs cleaning, custodial, sanitation, and supply-stocking duties to maintain a clean facility and support infection control. This is a full-time day position, Sunday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The rate of pay is $16.50–$18.76 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

CPR certification is required; training is available upon hire and offered by the facility.
De-escalation and restraint certification is required; training is available upon hire and offered by the facility.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinical, or healthcare environment preferred.
First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning and custodial tasks to maintain the facility's upkeep, sanitation, and cleanliness.
Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and supplies using appropriate cleaning processes and germicides.
Move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, and clean kitchens, cooking utensils, and silverware.
Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors as needed.
Launder soiled linens as directed.
Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department or unit use and stock supplies as needed.
Clean and properly store equipment and supplies after each shift.
Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
Follow all infection control measures.
