About The Position

Harbor Oaks Hospital is seeking a Housekeeper to join its Environmental Services (EVS) team at its mental health and addiction treatment facility in New Baltimore, Michigan. The role is full-time, working day hours Sunday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The listed pay rate is $16.50–$18.76 per hour, based on experience.

The Housekeeper performs cleaning, custodial, sanitation, and supply-related duties to maintain the facility. Responsibilities include disinfecting rooms and equipment, laundering linens, preparing rooms for meetings and facility functions, and following infection-control measures. CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification are required; training is available upon hire and provided by the facility. First aid may be required depending on state or facility requirements.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinical, or healthcare environment preferred.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and custodial tasks to maintain the facility's upkeep, sanitation, and cleanliness.
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and supplies using appropriate cleaning processes and germicides.
• Perform other housekeeping duties, including moving and arranging furniture, turning mattresses, cleaning kitchens and cooking utensils and silverware, and sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors as needed.
• Launder soiled linens as directed.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department or unit use.
• Clean and store equipment and supplies properly after each shift.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
• Stock supplies as needed.
• Follow all infection-control measures.
