About The Position

Dynamic Service Solutions (DSS) is hiring a bilingual Housekeeper for its Children First Residential Care Program in Houston, Texas. The role is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the residential facility so it meets housekeeping and sanitation requirements and provides a comfortable space for residents and employees. The work supports a safe, supportive environment for children receiving trauma-informed, culturally responsive care. The position is performed mostly in an office setting and requires evening and weekend work as necessary. Regular computer work is also required. The employee must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of experience as a housekeeper.
Ability to work with a variety of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Ability to perform all duties as required, with or without an accommodation.
Bilingual in English and Spanish; the posting lists reading, writing, and conversing proficiently in both languages as preferred, and lists English/Spanish bilingual ability as a foreign-language requirement.
Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate complicated, detailed instructions orally and in writing in English and preferably in Spanish.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, handle or feel objects or controls, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and work on a ladder.
Ability to meet the stated vision requirements, including close, distance, and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Ability to read, write, and converse proficiently in Spanish and translate written Spanish into English.
Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate complicated, detailed instructions in Spanish.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain assigned facilities, including floors, common areas, boards, furniture, restrooms, classrooms, and offices; empty trash and recycling bins.
Monitor cleaning-supply stock and replace supplies as appropriate.
Keep bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other supplies, including paper towels, toilet tissue, trash-can liners, and hand soap.
Ensure facility service calls, including emergency issues, are responded to, scheduled, and completed promptly and properly while minimizing disruptions.
Perform major seasonal cleaning of carpets, classrooms, windows, exterior porches, stairs, and handicap entrances.
