About The Position

The Housekeeper performs cleaning and minor maintenance for approximately 12,000 square feet of residential living and office areas at the Julian F Keith Alcohol, Drug Treatment Center. Duties include a variety of housekeeping tasks and linen distribution. The role requires knowledge of housekeeping, sanitation, infection prevention, and applicable healthcare regulations and standards, as well as safe operation of housekeeping equipment and handling of cleaning chemicals. The position is designated as mandatory and employees must report to work or stay over during adverse weather events.

Requirements

• Education and/or experience in housekeeping work directly related to the job.
• Knowledge of housekeeping, sanitation, infection prevention, and applicable healthcare regulations and standards.
• Ability to safely operate housekeeping equipment and handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Ability to maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and quality standards while performing cleaning and sanitation duties.
• Ability to work effectively in a behavioral healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and adaptability to changing priorities and procedures.
• Ability to perform physical demands including prolonged standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and operating housekeeping equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, kneel, walk up and down stairs, and meet other physical requirements discussed during the interview.
• Must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
