About The Position

The Housekeeper provides housekeeping services for residents, helping make each area a comfortable, clean, and cozy place to live. The role also keeps shared spaces—including the lobby and employee break room—tidy and clean, with items in their proper place. This is a full-time position at Vitalia Westlake in Westlake, Ohio, scheduled Monday through Thursday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The pay range is $15.75 to $26.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
Have a positive, energetic attitude and a strong interest in residents.
Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
Be active and able to perform the physical activities required by the role.
Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
Pass a physician-performed health screening within the stated timeframe and test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at the time of screening.
Receive criminal clearance.

Responsibilities

Provide housekeeping services for residents and maintain clean, comfortable living areas.
Keep shared areas, including the lobby and employee break room, tidy and clean, with everything in its place.
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the workday.
Frequently lift or move items up to 25 pounds and push or pull a wheeled housekeeping cart.
