About The Position

Crothall Healthcare is hiring full-time and part-time Housekeepers at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. The role performs light cleaning duties to maintain a clean and orderly environment in a hospital, including cleaning rooms and halls, making beds, replenishing linens, and vacuuming. Housekeepers provide attentive customer service and respond to housekeeping requests and problems. The fixed pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Days and hours may vary, and weekend and holiday availability is required.

Requirements

• Prior housekeeping and/or floor tech experience is required.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service with one-on-one attention to detail.
• Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
• Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
• Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
• Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
• Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
• Empty and clean trash containers, and dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.
• Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
• Wipe down glass surfaces.
• Make beds and change linens as required.
• Realign furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout.
• Respond to guest queries and requests.
• Respond to housekeeping problems such as spills and broken glasses.
• Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
