About The Position
Adventist Rehabilitation - Rockville is seeking an experienced Housekeeper for its Rehabilitation Department. The role supports the organization’s mission to provide physical, mental, and spiritual healing. The Housekeeper participates in housekeeping processes, helps maintain supplies, and follows infection-control procedures when cleaning daily areas, discharges and transfers, and ancillary areas, including the Eight Step Cleaning Procedures. This is a variable part-time position averaging 8 hours per week. The typical schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with every other weekend and rotating holidays required. The position is day shift and eligible for a shift differential. The pay range is $18.00–$22.79 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of housekeeping experience or a high school diploma/GED.
- Ability to communicate at a level that allows for safe and efficient job performance.
- Ability to use supplies, tools, and equipment safely and properly.
Responsibilities
- Participate in appropriate housekeeping processes and procedures.
- Assist with maintaining housekeeping supplies and notify the supervisor when refill orders are needed.
- Follow infection-control protocols during daily cleaning, discharges and transfers, and cleaning of ancillary areas, using the Eight Step Cleaning Procedures.
