About The Position

Crothall Healthcare is hiring a full-time Housekeeper for Ambulatory Services at The Guthrie Clinics in Horseheads, New York. The position performs specialized cleaning and disinfection of ambulatory healthcare facilities, including restrooms, patient areas, exam rooms, procedure rooms, and specialty areas. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The fixed pay rate is $16.00 per hour. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Disinfect surfaces using provided chemicals.
• Dust and polish furniture and fittings, vents, window sills, and ledges.
• Clean reception glass and entrance windows.
• Move chairs, stools, waste, linen and biohazard bins, small wheeled equipment, scales, and other items to clean properly, then return them to the recommended layout.
• Clean floors by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming; perform carpet and upholstery spot cleaning.
• Collect and dispose of general trash and biohazardous waste, and routinely clean their containers.
• Replenish soap, sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, and other supplies.
• Keep equipment, tools, and storage areas clean and in orderly operating condition.
• Arm and disarm alarm systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
