Housekeeper - Ambulatory Services (Full Time)
About The Position
Crothall Healthcare is hiring a full-time Housekeeper for Ambulatory Services at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama. The role performs specialized cleaning and disinfection in ambulatory healthcare facilities, including restrooms, patient areas, exam rooms, procedure rooms, and specialty areas. No prior experience is required; training is provided. The fixed pay rate is $14.25 per hour. The schedule is Wednesday to Wednesday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., in 12-hour shifts; further details are provided during the interview. Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- No prior experience is required; willingness to train.
Responsibilities
- Disinfect surfaces using provided chemicals.
- Dust and polish furniture, fittings, vents, window sills, and ledges.
- Clean reception glass and entrance windows.
- Move chairs, stools, waste, linen and biohazardous bins, small wheeled equipment, scales, and other items to clean properly, then return items to the recommended layout.
- Clean floors by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Spot-clean carpets and upholstery.
- Collect and dispose of general trash and biohazardous waste.
- Routinely clean general trash and biohazardous waste containers.
- Replenish soap, sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, and other supplies.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and storage areas in clean and orderly operating condition.
- Arm and disarm alarm systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
