About The Position

Perform cleaning duties to maintain hotel rooms in a clean and orderly manner. The Room Attendant is responsible for completion of various cleaning tasks to ensure hotel rooms and common areas meet health standards and present a welcoming environment for guests.

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems and think critically.
• Ability to convey information effectively.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
• Must adhere to a zero-tolerance policy regarding changing bed linens, duvets, and pillowcases. Failure to change linens on checked-out rooms is grounds for immediate termination.

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.
• Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
• Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
• Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
