About The Position

The Housekeeper delivers a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests at Candlewood Suites Pecos. The role includes deep cleaning rooms after guest departures and maintaining occupied guest rooms for extended-stay guests. Housekeepers support property quality standards and guest satisfaction through attention to detail and consistent service. The position is full time. Employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance, be punctual and dependable, work scheduled shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and provide additional coverage when needed. They must follow safety, security, and operational procedures, protect guest and company information, adapt to changing priorities, and work as part of a team.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is a plus but not required.
Ability to read and follow instructions in English.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
Employment is subject to E-Verify verification.
Must be punctual, dependable, and available for scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility to support additional coverage.
Must follow safety, security, and operational procedures and adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb stairs for extended periods during a shift.
Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Must be able to use hands and arms for sweeping, mopping, wiping, and other repetitive tasks.
Must be able to detect odors such as smoke, gas, or strong cleaning chemicals.
Must have close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Clean guest rooms to property standards, including floors, bathrooms, kitchenettes, and furnishings.
Deep clean rooms after guest departure, including surfaces, linens, and appliances.
Replenish linens, towels, toiletries, and other room supplies.
Remove trash, clean floors, dust surfaces, sanitize bathrooms, and restock housekeeping carts.
Report room maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damages to the General Manager.
Keep housekeeping carts and storage areas organized and secure.
Maintain assigned common areas, such as hallways, stairwells, and lobbies.
Follow safety procedures, including proper use of cleaning products and personal protective equipment.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Maintain a professional appearance and deliver service in line with company values.
Protect the confidentiality of guest information and company data.
Work as part of a team and support shared property goals.
