About The Position

Chesapeake Treatment Centers Inc. is a 29-bed residential center for adolescent and young adult males in Parkville, Maryland. The center provides treatment for sexualized behaviors, behavioral issues, and mental disabilities, including assessment, residential/inpatient, day treatment, dual diagnosis, mental health, special education, and prevention services. Its programs are accredited by the Joint Commission (JCAHO). The Housekeeper is responsible for efficiently and promptly cleaning patient rooms, staff offices, and community rooms according to a daily schedule. The role is PRN and is scheduled every Monday and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.; coverage on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday during those hours may be requested if needed. Weekends are not required. The work involves walking long distances and using stairs, frequent strenuous physical activity such as heavy lifting and carrying, and pushing or pulling. Tasks may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
High school diploma or GED.
At least 12 months of experience as a housekeeper in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Must be comfortable walking long distances and going up and down stairs.
Must be able to perform frequent strenuous physical activity, including heavy lifting, sustained physical effort, extensive carrying, and pushing or pulling.
