About The Position

Pine Grove Nursing Center in Center, Texas, is hiring a per-diem Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment throughout the facility. The role includes routine and specialized cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, hallways, offices, dining areas, and other designated spaces in accordance with facility policies, infection prevention and control standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Housekeepers support resident health, safety, comfort, and quality of life by helping provide a clean and welcoming environment.

Requirements

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy.
Knowledge of how to properly use cleaning chemicals according to Safety Data Sheets.
Ability to use appropriate safety equipment and tools to identify hazards and follow community safety policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in laundry operations is preferred.
Previous laundry, housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, hospitality, or commercial laundry experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, offices, and other assigned areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors and surfaces.
Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces and maintain sanitary conditions throughout the facility.
Empty trash and dispose of waste according to facility procedures.
Replenish housekeeping and restroom supplies as needed.
Safely operate housekeeping equipment and properly use cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
Follow infection prevention, safety, and sanitation procedures.
Prepare resident rooms for new admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Respond promptly to spills, environmental hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Maintain clean and organized housekeeping carts, closets, equipment, and supply areas.
Respect resident privacy, dignity, belongings, and personal space while performing duties.
Report safety concerns, maintenance issues, or resident concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Complete assigned cleaning schedules, checklists, and other required documentation.
Perform deep cleaning and other assigned housekeeping duties.
