About The Position

Chesapeake Treatment Center, a 29-bed residential treatment center for adolescent and young adult males in Parkville, Maryland, is hiring a Dietary Driver. The center provides treatment for young people experiencing complex mental health, sexualized behavior, trauma, substance abuse, gang, and related issues. The Dietary Driver transports food and picks up items for the facility, and prepares and delivers food service according to the facility schedule. This is an as-needed position. Coverage may include Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., daily dinner shifts from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and weekend morning shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The employee may need to start earlier or stay later depending on patient needs. The role involves frequent or strenuous physical activity, including heavy lifting, sustained physical effort, and extensive carrying, pushing, or pulling. The location is not on a bus route; free parking is available.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience working in an institutional setting.
High school diploma, GED, or higher degree.
Knowledge of State Health Department regulations.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

Transport food and pick up items for the facility.
Unpack and set up dinner for residents efficiently and on time according to the facility schedule.
Ensure food is served at proper temperatures and that food handling follows Health Department regulations.
Maintain a professional manner with residents and other staff.
Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
