About The Position

The Housekeeper supports the cleanliness and overall environment of a skilled nursing facility, helping maintain a safe, sanitary, and comfortable setting for residents, staff, and visitors. Under the direction of the Environmental Services Director and Assistant Director, the Housekeeper cleans facility areas and may assist with laundry. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Passion for helping others.
Excellent customer service skills.
Multitasking skills.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
Ability to push and pull objects up to 35 pounds.
Ability to move consistently throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

Long-term care or hospitality industry experience.

Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning functions as assigned.
Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, and heating and cooling units in rooms and common areas.
Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures.
Clean windows and mirrors in rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and entrances and exits.
Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, and other methods.
Clean walls as needed.
Use proper cleaning and disinfecting solutions and maintain appropriate supplies.
Dispose of waste and trash in proper containers, including infectious waste in appropriate containers.
Clean and sanitize vacant rooms in preparation for future residents.
Collect, sort, and launder resident clothing and linens; iron when needed and return items to resident rooms.
Mend or repair clothing when possible.
Report needed repairs to a supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
