About The Position

We are a busy, warm, and welcoming family of five with children ages 3, 6, and 7, looking for a long-term House Manager who will become a trusted part of our home. While household management is at the heart of this role, you'll also play an important part in our children's daily routines and become a consistent, caring presence in their lives. Our days are full and active, and we are looking for someone who authentically enjoys creating calm, order, and consistency behind the scenes so our family can spend more time together and less time managing the day-to-day logistics of home life. We take great pride in our home and value a space that feels clean, organized, and well cared for in every season. We appreciate the little details that make a home run beautifully, from thoughtfully maintained organization systems to a home that is reset and ready for each day. Our family thrives on consistency, and we are looking for someone who can confidently maintain established routines, bring warmth and patience to the children’s afternoons, and support a household that feels peaceful and well run. Throughout the year, our family spends time at a second residence during the summer months, located approximately 30 miles south of our primary home. This role travels with us so the same level of organization and support continues wherever we are, with occasional weekend flexibility for family trips as needed. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who wants to build a lasting relationship with our family. We hope to find a true partner who takes ownership of the household, anticipates needs, and finds satisfaction in creating order behind the scenes. You are someone who is proactive, highly organized, and naturally attentive to detail, while also being warm, patient, and engaging with children. Above all, you are dependable and service-minded, excited by the opportunity to help create a home that feels calm, organized, and deeply cared for every day. You are someone who genuinely enjoys creating order in a busy home and finds satisfaction in helping families feel supported. When you walk into a room, you naturally notice what needs attention and take initiative without waiting to be asked. You are organized, efficient, and proactive, and you take pride in creating systems that make everyday life feel more manageable, and you notice the details that others often overlook. From organized drawers and tidy entryways to a stocked pantry and a smoothly managed family calendar, you find genuine satisfaction in creating order behind the scenes. Above all, you are dependable, self-directed, and motivated by service. You do not wait for a checklist. You think ahead, communicate proactively, and take ownership of your work, excited by the opportunity to become a trusted, long-term partner who helps a family feel supported and able to enjoy life together. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are exactly alike. Rather than feeling overwhelmed by competing priorities, you enjoy staying one step ahead, anticipating needs, and adjusting with flexibility while keeping the household running smoothly. Whether you're preparing for the afternoon routine, coordinating an errand, resetting the home after a busy day, or planning ahead for an upcoming event or family trip, you approach each responsibility with ownership, thoughtfulness, and strong attention to detail. You are warm, patient, and naturally engaging with children, understanding the importance of consistency and providing calm, gentle guidance while building trusting relationships over time. This is not a full-time nanny role; childcare is part of a broader household management position. This is not a deep-cleaning role; professional cleaners are in place. This is not a passive, task-based role; requires proactive ownership and initiative. This is not a 9-to-5 static routine; priorities shift with the family’s needs.
