About The Position

Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital is hiring a full-time House Supervisor/Staff RN for Med Surg on the night shift. The role splits the week between working as a staff nurse and as a house supervisor. The nurse provides care to assigned patients, helps coordinate activity and patient flow across inpatient and outpatient departments, and supports clinical teams and hospital operations. The average nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5.

Requirements

• Current Missouri RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Previous electronic medical record (EMR) experience required.
• Previous Med Surg experience or related experience desired.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• One year of previous Med Surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work part of the week as a staff nurse and part of the week as a house supervisor.
• Prioritize and deliver care to an assigned team of patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Evaluate census and activity in inpatient and outpatient areas, including OB, Med Surg, the ED, and outpatient services.
• Evaluate and assist team leaders, nurse aides, and unit clerks with care of ANC as needed.
• Serve as a Code Blue resource.
• Collaborate with Case Management and physicians to facilitate efficient patient care and patient flow throughout hospital departments.
• Evaluate swing bed referrals from other facilities.
• Provide staff relief for breaks, meals, and continuing education.
• Obtain medications from the Pharmacy.
• Perform safety audits.
• Encourage teamwork and foster a positive work environment.
