About The Position

The House Supervisor (RN) ensures coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care, mental health practice, and hospital policies, goals, and objectives. The role contributes to the hospital's philosophy, educational and performance improvement efforts, and supervises nursing staff. During the assigned shift, the House Supervisor directly supervises nursing staff, patients, and patient care, and works closely with the Intake and Admissions Department on patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing, or have an equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management.
Currently licensed to practice in the state of Missouri.
Thorough knowledge of TJC, HCFA, OSHA, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
CPR certification.
Successfully complete crisis intervention training (Handle with Care) within 30 days of employment and before assisting in restraining procedures.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree preferred.
A minimum of two years' experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
