About The Position

The House Patient Care Coordinator works in Nursing Administration, which provides leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for nursing services throughout the organization. The department supports safe, high-quality, patient-centered care, nursing staff, professional development, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. The coordinator oversees hospital operations during assigned shifts while supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. The position serves as a clinical nursing resource, coordinates staffing and patient flow, addresses safety and operational concerns, and supports admissions, transfers, and discharges. More than 50% of the role is dedicated to coordinating and supporting direct patient care activities.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
At least three years of job-related experience.
Active RN license with the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
BLS certification/training.
PALS certification/training.
ACLS certification/training.
NIHSS certification/training.
12-Lead ECG certification/training.
Nurse Wound Care certification/training.
Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia certification/training.
Avade Training within designated post-hire timeframes.

Responsibilities

Provide hospital-wide clinical and administrative support during assigned shifts.
Serve as a clinical resource for staff and support quality patient care.
Coordinate staffing, patient flow, bed utilization, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Provide leadership during codes, emergencies, and other critical situations.
Address patient, family, staff, and physician concerns as appropriate.
Identify safety and risk concerns and communicate issues requiring follow-up.
Coach and support staff while promoting compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
