About The Position

US Fertility has an immediate opening for a Patient Care Coordinator at Shady Grove Fertility in Waldorf, Maryland. The role supports fertility patients’ clinical care and provides counseling, procedure teaching, physician orders and instructions, and pre- and post-operative education. The coordinator also helps create a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, works independently to help achieve program goals, and promotes excellent customer service.

The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Compensation is $22 to $25 per hour, commensurate with experience. The role offers the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while working closely with patients and care teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of prior healthcare experience and familiarity with medical terminology.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow through.
• Comfort with computer applications and accuracy and speed with data entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the clinical care of fertility patients.
• Provide patient and couple counseling and procedure teaching.
• Communicate physician orders and instructions.
• Provide pre- and post-operative education.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
• Work independently to ensure program goals are achieved.
• Support and promote excellence in customer service.
