About The Position

As the House Manager at Moneygun, you are the host of the party, responsible for ensuring our service and hospitality are mentioned amongst the best in the city. This position serves as a direct supervisor and vital resource for the bar, kitchen, and security teams, providing guidance and hands-on assistance whenever necessary. The House Manager is tuned in to our guests and ever-present on the floor during service, using the mission statement and guiding principles as anchors for decision-making and cultivating culture. This role is also directly involved with event and activation curation, working closely with the General Manager, 16 On Center Beverage Director, and shared services team.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience managing people is required
  • Nighttime availability for MOD shifts is required
  • Floor service and MOD experience in a bar or restaurant is required
  • Passionate about building community within teams and with guests
  • Experienced in hiring, training, and developing staff
  • Familiarity with Toast POS is a plus but not required
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 lbs as needed
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, including late nights and loud settings

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all hourly staff exude the same FOH “hospitotally” and swagger
  • Maintain a genuine presence at all times to serve as an example for the rest of the team
  • Assist the GM and AGM with executing monthly training sessions to grow the knowledge base and skill set of the service staff
  • Maintain clear communication between kitchen, bar prep, security, and FOH staff to prepare for service
  • Support and grow relationships with brands and distributors as partnerships are developed
  • Foster partnerships and develop activations in both spaces to drive sales
  • Run good shifts. Lead the team as MOD for 3-5 shifts per week - a combination of opens and closes - completing manager checklists and following up fast to resolve any issues as they arise
  • Assist GM and AGM with scheduling, posting with at least two-weeks lead time
  • Keep all SOP guides and documents up to date
  • Ensure complete and efficient bar opening/closing, with each team member sharing duties equally
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of all FOH and BOH spaces
  • Attend weekly manager meetings and see all tasks assigned to completion
  • Work directly with predetermined beverage partners to execute various activations (holidays, menu placements, takeovers, etc.)
  • Continuously identify opportunities for improvement, assign deadlines, and execute to completion
