House Manager & Family Assistant

Sage HausGlen Carbon, IL

About The Position

We are a busy family of five with three active, school-aged kids, a fun-loving dog, and a calendar that rarely slows down. Between work, school, sports, activities, and frequent travel, there's always something happening. One parent works from a home office and travels regularly, often every other week, while the other works in education and coaching, making afternoons and evenings especially full during the school year. Life moves quickly in our home, and we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys bringing calm and order to a busy household. We're easygoing, down-to-earth people who love to laugh and don't take ourselves too seriously. Our home is filled with love, a healthy dose of chaos, and high expectations for our kids to be kind, responsible, and contribute to the family. We're excited to welcome someone who will take ownership of the household behind the scenes, helping create the calm, organization, and consistency that allows our family to truly thrive. You are an experienced household professional who naturally notices what needs attention before anyone has to ask. You don't wait for a list. You create the systems that keep a home running smoothly. You anticipate needs, stay organized, and genuinely enjoy the satisfaction of checking things off before they become problems. Whether you're restocking the pantry, organizing returns, coordinating appointments, resetting the house after a busy weekend, or making sure laundry doesn't pile up before Friday, you take pride in creating a home that feels calm, prepared, and well cared for. You're confident working independently and comfortable in a home where the parents may be working nearby. You know how to be present without being intrusive, communicate clearly without creating extra work, and keep everything moving with professionalism and good judgment. You're comfortable using digital tools to stay organized, and most importantly, you've done this kind of work before. If you're looking for a family where your experience, initiative, and attention to detail will truly make a difference, and where your contributions will be deeply appreciated, you’ll feel right at home here with us.
