House Manager & Family Assistant (with meal prep support)

Sage HausStanford, CA
$37 - $42Onsite

About The Position

We are seeking a highly competent, experienced professional to manage the day-to-day details of our household, creating a sense of calm and consistency so our family can focus on enjoying this exciting chapter together. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, competent household professional who doesn't need to be managed, is self-motivated and takes initiative. You take direction, understand the bigger picture, and run with it - confidently owning your responsibilities from start to finish. You don't wait to be told what to do next; you naturally anticipate needs, identify opportunities to improve how the household functions, and take thoughtful action while staying aligned with the family's preferences. You're highly organized and proactive in your communication. You keep the family informed of anything they need to know, flag potential issues before they become problems, and present solutions rather than simply identifying challenges. You follow through without reminders, stay one step ahead, and understand that consistency and reliability are what build trust. You're coachable and resilient - you welcome feedback, adapt quickly, and don't take constructive guidance personally. You enjoy learning how a family likes things done so you can continuously refine your approach. Professionalism is equally important. You understand the balance between being warm and approachable while maintaining healthy professional boundaries. You're comfortable working closely with a family, but you recognize that you're there as a trusted household professional. You respect privacy and confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and know when to step in and when to quietly work behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. You're dependable - you show up on time, keep your commitments, and understand that reliability isn't just appreciated, it's essential. Whether it's a school pickup, coordinating household vendors, or ensuring the family has what they need before they even ask, you take ownership and follow through. Fluent English communication is essential for the thoughtful, nuanced, and fast-paced coordination this role requires.
