About The Position

This is a part-time role, offering 15-25 hours per week with a guaranteed 15 hours. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexibility for weekly tasks. The family is seeking a "household unicorn" to help manage the daily demands of family life, including laundry, meal prep, organization, schedules, and errands. While not a traditional nanny role, the ideal candidate will be comfortable around children, trustworthy, respectful of boundaries, and a positive presence in the home. The family values kindness, initiative, trust, open communication, and flexibility, seeking a partner to help their household run smoothly and allow them more time to enjoy family life.

Responsibilities

  • Laundry & Linens: Wash, fold, and organize laundry; linen rotation; ironing/steaming; maintain tidy and well-stocked laundry area.
  • Household Organization & Maintenance: Create and maintain household organization systems; daily resets; manage clutter; light cleaning; seasonal swaps; sort outgrown kids' clothes, toys, and crafts; prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs; help with holiday decoration setup and takedown; packing and unpacking assistance for family travel; indoor plant care.
  • Deep Cleaning & Special Projects: Occasional deep cleaning projects; refresh high-traffic zones; air purifier filter changes; organizational projects.
  • Meal Support: Create weekly meal plans; prepare 3-4 dinners per week; flexible meal prep approach; wash and prep fruits and vegetables; complete grocery shopping; follow strict nut-free requirements; maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization.
  • Inventory & Errands: Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies; manage running household supply lists; manage household orders and subscriptions; handle returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping, and returning bins; gather lists and logistics for gifts and upcoming birthdays/holidays; mail and package handling.
  • Family Support: School/activity pickups and drop-offs; light supervision and backup childcare; weekend daytime coverage bi-weekly; help unpack and repack backpacks; kid-related errands.
  • Vehicle Upkeep: Weekly check of family vehicle for forgotten items; light organization of vehicle interior.
  • Vendor & Property Oversight: Make occasional appointments; seasonal property maintenance coordination; manage outdoor spaces.
  • Administrative & Personal Assistant Support: Travel planning and logistics; calendar and reminder management; receipt organization for house manager expenses.
  • Pet Care: Feeding/walking puppy as needed; refill and clean fish tank; maintain pet supplies; occasional pet sitting.
