About The Position

We are a busy family of six living in Manhattan, with a weekend property just outside the city where we spend much of the summer. With four kids at three different schools, a full calendar of activities, two working parents, and regular travel, life in our home moves quickly. Sometimes, there simply aren’t enough hours in the day. We have a wonderful full-time nanny and cleaning team in place, and we’re looking for someone who can come alongside us, bring some order to the moving pieces, and help make everyday life feel a little more manageable - both in the city and at our weekend home. At the heart of it, this role is about making everyday life feel easier: keeping household supplies stocked, staying ahead of appointments and follow-ups, coordinating activities and transportation, helping with meal prep, and keeping household projects and maintenance moving. That includes helping keep both homes organized and well cared for, from staying ahead of routine maintenance to making sure small issues are caught before they become bigger ones. Dinner doesn’t need to be gourmet; having vegetables prepped and protein ready to go can make a huge difference on a busy night. More than anything, we need someone who sees what needs to happen, takes ownership, and helps keep things from falling through the cracks. We’re warm, direct, energetic, and decidedly not formal. There is no hierarchy in our home. We’re all on the same team. We’re loyal to the people who work with us, treat people well, have a good sense of humor, and are always open to finding a better way to do things. We’re hoping to find someone who wants to become a trusted, long-term part of our family’s rhythm and help us create a little more breathing room to enjoy the things that matter most.
