About The Position

We are a busy, high-achieving family of four in Baton Rouge seeking a capable, warm, and organized House Manager/Family Assistant to help keep our household running smoothly. Both parents have demanding professional roles that require travel and significant mental bandwidth. As we transition to both parents working full-time in high-responsibility positions, we need a partner who can be a true extension of our family – organized, proactive, and dependable. The goal is to create calmer afternoons and evenings, ensure the kitchen is stocked and prepared for the week, and support our children in staying on track. Our home is well-organized and runs on intentional systems, and we are looking for someone who will maintain and improve these standards. We value professionalism, a clear working relationship, and warmth with our children. Inclusivity is a core value and non-negotiable. The ideal candidate is self-directed, takes ownership of household details, is confident in the kitchen, comfortable with children and animals, and enjoys contributing to a family's quality of life. They understand the difference between professional warmth and overstepping, and thrive in a dynamic built on mutual respect and clear expectations. They are comfortable engaging with children who have their own routines and personalities in an encouraging and inclusive way, maintain excellent judgment about household priorities, manage their time independently, and transition smoothly into family support mode. Fiscal responsibility, clear communication, and dependability are key.
