House Management - Community Based IDD
About The Position
The Residential Manager or Assistant Manager leads a residential team supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The role helps create a home environment grounded in dignity, independence, belonging, and meaningful community connections. The manager supports individuals in pursuing their personal goals, interests, and dreams, and collaborates with clinical teams, families, guardians, and interdisciplinary partners to support their needs. The position includes hiring, training, and supporting direct support staff; overseeing staffing, household and vehicle maintenance, budgets, and documentation; and providing steady leadership when urgent needs arise. The posting lists pay of $26.75 per hour for a Manager or $24.75 per hour for an Assistant Manager, with an additional $1.00 per hour weekend differential.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of leadership experience in residential services for people with I/DD.
- 2–3 years of experience working as a Direct Support Professional.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license with a clean record.
- Interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Computer literacy for documentation and communication.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and support direct support staff, modeling professionalism and compassion.
- Support individuals with I/DD in pursuing their goals, interests, and dreams, and encourage independence and meaningful community connections.
- Oversee staffing, household and vehicle maintenance, and budgets.
- Maintain accurate, organized documentation.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to support behavioral health needs.
- Communicate with families, guardians, and interdisciplinary partners.
- Provide steady leadership and support when urgent needs arise.
