About The Position

Community Options, Inc., a national nonprofit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states, is hiring a Director of IDD Community Services in Tucson, Arizona. The Director develops and manages in-home supports, residential services, community-based services, and Medicaid Alternative Pathways (MAPS) where applicable, while maintaining high-quality programs in accordance with state and local regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or behavioral health.
• Experience working with behavior-challenged children or adults.
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop new programs, including in-home supports, family model, host homes, and community-based services; expand MAPS programs; and liaise with managed care organizations, including DDA and Innovation Coordinators.
• Lead and train teams to support program initiatives, goals, daily routines, and the unique needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Oversee daily operations of in-home supports, residential services, MAPS programs where applicable, and community-based services.
• Liaise with referral sources to identify program placement opportunities.
• Ensure programs comply with state licensing and reporting standards.
• Assist with quality assurance and program improvement activities, focusing on improving policies, practices, and procedures.
• Provide training on programs, policies, and procedures to improve service delivery.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, and performance management.
• Assist with monitoring and managing overtime.
• Cooperate with license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation.
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
