About The Position

Kana Hotel Group seeks a Hotel Room Attendant to help maintain clean, safe, guest-ready hotel rooms and deliver high-quality service. The role is part-time and scheduled Sundays and Mondays only. The attendant prepares and stocks housekeeping carts, cleans guest rooms and bathrooms, inspects rooms and equipment, records room status, and reports issues to a supervisor. The position also involves responding to special guest requests and maintaining housekeeping storage areas.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience required.
• Attention to detail.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Ability and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Load housekeeping carts with necessary supplies.
• Turn off electricity in rooms, with heating or cooling set to fan or cool.
• Strip beds in checked-out rooms and take dirty linens to the laundry before cleaning; promptly turn off lights, strip beds, and send linens to the laundry in newly checked-out rooms.
• Clean carts and ensure bottles are correctly labeled.
• Clean rooms thoroughly within 25 minutes in a fast-paced environment.
• Obtain the executive housekeeper’s signature on the work assignment sheet.
• Vacuum and sweep carpets and floors.
• Dust and clean room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces such as wall fixtures, window sills, and vents.
• Clean showers, tubs, sinks, and bathroom items; remove used guest amenities and supplies.
• Inspect rooms for safety hazards and check that equipment is operating properly.
• Check linens for damage.
• Report lost-and-found articles, maintenance problems, and special room issues to a supervisor.
• Prepare rooms for guest arrivals and respond to special guest requests, such as delivering newspapers or cleaning spills.
• Maintain clean storage rooms and stock housekeeping carts.
• Transfer linens from the housekeeping cart to the laundry cart and send them to the laundry.
• Record room status on work assignment sheets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
