About The Position

Kana Hotel Group is seeking a Hotel Room Attendant to clean and prepare guest rooms, maintain housekeeping supplies and storage areas, and respond to guest requests. The role works in a fast-paced environment, with rooms expected to be cleaned thoroughly within 25 minutes. The attendant reports room concerns, maintenance problems, and lost-and-found articles to a supervisor and records room status on work assignment sheets. Previous housekeeping experience is required. The position requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Load housekeeping carts with all necessary supplies.
• Turn off electricity in rooms, with heating or cooling set to the fan or cool setting.
• Strip beds in checked-out rooms and take dirty linens to the laundry before cleaning.
• Immediately turn off lights, strip beds, and take dirty linens to the laundry in newly checked-out rooms.
• Clean the cart and ensure all bottles are correctly labeled.
• Clean rooms thoroughly within 25 minutes in a fast-paced environment.
• Obtain the executive housekeeper’s signature on the work assignment sheet.
• Vacuum and sweep carpets and floors.
• Dust and clean room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces, including wall fixtures, window sills, and vents.
• Clean showers, tubs, sinks, and bathroom items; remove used guest amenities and supplies.
• Inspect rooms for safety hazards and check equipment operating conditions.
• Check linens for damage.
• Report lost-and-found articles, maintenance problems, and special room issues to a supervisor.
• Prepare rooms for guest arrivals and respond to special guest requests, such as delivering newspapers or cleaning spills.
• Maintain storage-room cleanliness and stock the cart.
• Remove linens from the housekeeping cart, place them in the laundry cart, and send them to laundry.
• Record room status on work assignment sheets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
