About The Position
Kana Hotel Group is seeking a Hotel Room Attendant to clean and prepare guest rooms, maintain housekeeping supplies and storage areas, and respond to guest needs. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment and ensuring rooms are properly and thoroughly cleaned within 25 minutes. Room attendants inspect rooms for safety hazards and equipment conditions, report maintenance or other room concerns, and record room status on work assignment sheets. The position also includes other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience.
- Attention to detail.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Ability and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Load housekeeping carts with all necessary supplies.
- Turn off electricity in rooms, with heating or cooling set to fan or cool.
- Strip beds in checked-out rooms and take dirty linens to the laundry before cleaning; promptly turn off lights, strip beds, and take linens to the laundry in newly checked-out rooms.
- Clean the cart and ensure all bottles are correctly labeled.
- Clean rooms thoroughly within 25 minutes in a fast-paced environment.
- Obtain the executive housekeeper’s signature on the work assignment sheet.
- Vacuum and sweep carpets and floors.
- Dust and clean room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces, including wall fixtures, window sills, and vents.
- Clean showers, tubs, sinks, and bathroom items, and remove used guest amenities and supplies.
- Inspect rooms for safety hazards and check the operating condition of equipment.
- Check for damaged linens.
- Report lost-and-found articles, maintenance problems, and special room problems to a supervisor.
- Prepare rooms for guest arrivals and respond to special guest requests, such as delivering newspapers or cleaning spills.
- Maintain clean storage rooms and stock the cart.
- Remove linens from the housekeeping cart, transfer them to the laundry cart, and send them to the laundry.
- Record room status on work assignment sheets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
