About The Position

Kana Hotel Group seeks a Hotel Room Attendant to clean and prepare guest rooms, maintain housekeeping supplies and storage areas, and respond to guest requests. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment and thoroughly cleaning rooms within 25 minutes. Team members are expected to contribute to the quality of the company’s environment and services, with opportunities to grow and advance within the company.

Requirements

Previous housekeeping experience.
Attention to detail.
Previous customer service experience.
Ability and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Load housekeeping carts with necessary supplies.
Turn off electricity in rooms, with heating or cooling set to fan or cool.
Strip beds and take dirty linens from checked-out rooms to the laundry before cleaning; promptly do the same for newly checked-out rooms while turning off lights.
Clean the housekeeping cart and ensure bottles are correctly labeled.
Clean rooms thoroughly within 25 minutes in a fast-paced environment.
Obtain the executive housekeeper’s signature on the work assignment sheet.
Vacuum and sweep carpets and floors.
Dust and clean room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces such as wall fixtures, window sills, and vents.
Clean showers, tubs, sinks, and bathroom items; remove used guest amenities and supplies.
Inspect rooms for safety hazards and equipment operating conditions.
Check linens for damage.
Report lost-and-found articles, maintenance problems, and special room problems to a supervisor.
Prepare rooms for guest arrivals and respond to special guest requests, such as delivering newspapers or cleaning spills.
Maintain clean storage rooms and stock the housekeeping cart.
Transfer linens from the housekeeping cart to the laundry cart and send them to the laundry.
Record room status on work assignment sheets.
Perform other duties as assigned.
