About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, experienced, hands-on maintenance professional to help maintain a hotel property. The role oversees the grounds, public areas, and guest rooms; performs preventive maintenance and repairs; and responds to maintenance orders. The position requires knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry, along with effective communication, time management, and the ability to meet guest and team-member expectations. The physical work includes prolonged standing and walking, reaching and moving to service machinery, visual inspections, and lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Requirements

• At least two years of experience in a hotel maintenance position is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Ability to visually inspect machines.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• One year of college or trade school, or equivalent, in mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the property grounds, public areas, and hotel guest rooms.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
• Paint, replace electrical accessories, and maintain HVAC systems.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation.
• Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Respond to maintenance orders in a timely manner.
• Fulfill work orders in a timely manner.
• Complete daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
