About The Position

A Hotel Maintenance Technician is an essential part of the hospitality industry. They are responsible for ensuring that guests can enjoy their stay comfortably, safely, and without any technical issues. Their job is to maintain all aspects of the hotel building, including heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical and other systems. They work closely with the hotel management to schedule regular maintenance checks and troubleshoot any problems that may arise.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
  • Previous experience in maintenance or repair work, particularly in a hospitality setting, is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using various tools and equipment, as well as a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with guests & staff.
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of hotel facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with equipment and systems, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to guests.
  • Implement a preventive maintenance program to address potential issues before they become significant problems.
  • Respond to guest repair requests promptly and courteously, ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and request additional supplies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and equipment.
