About The Position

As a Hotel Housekeeping staff member, you will ensure the cleanliness and appearance of hotel rooms and facilities. You will report to the Hotel Housekeeping Shift Supervisor, Shift Manager, or Hotel Housekeeping Manager. The stated start rate is $15.50 per hour. Part-time, full-time, temporary, and PRN on-call options are available. The schedule has variable days, and the position requires working weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations they undergo, including chemical uses and interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.
Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and basic maintenance.
General knowledge of cleaning requirements in the hospitality industry.
Understanding of government public health regulations.

Nice To Haves

Prior Environmental Services or housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Stock housekeeping supplies when they are delivered.
Apply cleaning solvents to rooms and work areas, moving or lifting objects as needed.
Operate cleaning equipment to clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, the casino floor, and other work, storage, and customer areas, including metal fixtures and fittings.
Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using a vacuum cleaner.
Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays, clean ashtrays, and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
Wash windows and sills, door panels, walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
Clean biohazard material.
Answer customer or public inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department when needed.
Immediately clean or correct problem areas.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
