About The Position

Cleans hotel rooms and common areas, including guest rooms, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways. Performs room cleaning to franchise standards and within required timeframes, handles linens and supplies, maintains housekeeping carts and equipment, and follows safety, security, and company policies. Greets guests warmly and communicates room needs to the maintenance department.

Requirements

Meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Frequently climb or balance.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Have close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Clean hotel guest rooms and common areas, including lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways.
Sort, count, fold, mark, or carry hotel linens.
Clean rooms to franchise standards and within required timeframes, including making beds; dusting; washing walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills; cleaning floors, rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, and bathrooms; and emptying wastebaskets and cleaning ashtrays.
Replenish bathroom necessities, drinking glasses, writing supplies, and other supplies.
Move furniture, hang drapes, and roll carpets to meet franchise requirements.
Transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
Replace light bulbs.
Stock, organize, and maintain housekeeping carts and equipment.
Greet guests in a warm, friendly manner.
Follow key control and security policies to protect guest privacy and belongings while working in guest rooms.
Use materials, chemicals, and tools safely to avoid injury, waste, damage, or accidents.
Communicate room needs to the maintenance department.
Follow company policies and property guidelines, including dress code, safety, and performance standards; maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.
