About The Position

The Hotel Housekeeper performs housekeeping and cleaning duties throughout the hotel, including maintaining guest-service standards, keeping work areas and supplies in order, handling laundry and trash, and using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely. The role requires working on your feet for extended periods and may include night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

The position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments: $500 90 days after hire and $500 180 days after hire. Team members must be in good standing, with no documented performance notes in their employee file, to qualify for bonus payouts. The stated pay range is $17.29–$19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Previous housekeeping experience and knowledge.
• Ability to stand for long periods, up to 8 hours.
• Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, and cooperativeness, and to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work shifts that include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Superior guest relations skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep maid carts stocked throughout the day and at the end of the day.
• Strip all beds on both floors in a timely manner.
• Bring laundry bins up from P-1.
• Ensure housekeeping office shelves are fully stocked at the end of the day.
• Clean vending and ice areas and elevator lobbies throughout the day.
• Clear laundry bags for dirty linen throughout the day.
• Take all bins more than half full of dirty laundry to P-1 by the end of the day.
• Vacuum hallways Thursday through Monday.
• Vacuum hallway carpet edging with a backpack vacuum on Monday and Thursday.
• Stock supplies as needed.
• Maintain a commitment to guest satisfaction and exemplary guest service.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with safety procedures, including using required safety equipment.
• Identify unsafe practices or conditions and inform a supervisor.
• Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment.
• Remove trash continuously throughout the hotel.
• Handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and company requirements.
• Follow security policies and procedures and report violations.
