About The Position

Hilton Austin Airport is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to grow their career in a dynamic hospitality environment. Working alongside a strong leadership team, the clerk will gain valuable experience while contributing to the success of one of Austin's premier airport hotels. The recently refreshed Hilton is in the historic Air Force command building right on Austin-Bergstrom International Airport property. The hotel is managed by Pittsburgh, PA based Prospera Hospitality, with over 20 years of property management experience in hotels, restaurants, and convention centers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous hotel accounting or general accounting experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Excellent communication and customer service mindset

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Process and verify invoices, ensuring proper coding and approvals
• Prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile transactions
• Assist with accounts receivable billing, posting payments, and following up on outstanding balances
• Review and audit daily revenue reports for accuracy
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Support the month end closing process
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial matters
• Assist with departmental reporting and special projects as assigned
