About The Position

As a Hostperson for Carbone Riviera at Bellagio, you will create a polished and memorable first impression by greeting guests courteously, promptly, and professionally in an upscale, coastal-inspired dining environment. You will manage reservations and seating flow with precision, and keep the host stand and dining areas clean, organized, and stocked. Working with Food Servers, Bus Persons, and Food Service Runners, you will coordinate guest interactions and table information to support smooth, attentive service and an elevated dining experience.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a Hostperson in a luxury or fine-dining restaurant.
• Previous experience with OpenTable or SevenRooms.

Responsibilities

• Communicate special orders, cake orders, and other guest requests to Restaurant Reservations and convey the information to management.
• Maintain knowledge of daily activities and in-house groups, house count, table, seat, and station numbers, table setups, room capacity, hours, price range, and dress code.
• Greet guests promptly upon arrival.
• Answer phones, accurately track reservations, and manage the reservation book.
• Ensure menus have current inserts and replace menus that are in poor condition.
• Communicate guest needs to the kitchen and management, relay guest reactions and comments to management, and assist management in supporting smooth operations and quality service.
• Check regularly on guests waiting to be seated and keep them informed that they have not been forgotten and that tables are being prepared.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas; shut down the podium and forward phones to the voice-loop at the end of the shift.
