About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is hiring a customer-focused Hostperson for Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico. The Hostperson welcomes restaurant guests, helps set the tone for their visit, and supports the service team in providing memorable hospitality. The role includes food-running and expediting duties, coordination with culinary and service colleagues, and assistance with other service functions as operationally needed. It is presented as an opportunity to begin and grow a restaurant career at a world-class resort.

Requirements

Ability to learn menus, table numbers, seat positions, and service standards.
Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain an engaging attitude and work quickly on one's feet.

Previous restaurant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet guests as they arrive at the restaurant and provide a welcoming first and last point of contact.
Maintain constant communication with culinary and service colleagues.
Verify table number, seat number, menu item, modifications, and accompaniments before leaving the kitchen.
Deliver food promptly to the correct guest and position.
Announce dishes professionally when appropriate.
Ensure required condiments, sauces, utensils, and accompaniments are delivered with each item.
Maintain knowledge of menu ingredients and common allergens sufficient to safely perform the role.
Seek assistance from an appropriate colleague rather than guessing when asked about allergies or ingredients.
Inspect plates for obvious presentation or accuracy issues before delivery.
Immediately communicate missing, incorrect, delayed, or compromised items.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo and food-running areas.
Assist with table maintenance, clearing, resetting, water service, and other service functions when operationally necessary.
Follow food-safety requirements when transporting and handling food.
Support designated Food & Beverage outlets as assigned based on business needs.
Perform opening, running, and closing side work.
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
