About The Position

Wings ‘N More is hiring a Host at its Corpus Main location in Corpus Christi, Texas. Founded in 1987, the restaurant emphasizes quality ingredients, generous portions, freshly prepared food, and Texas hospitality. The Host supports guests and restaurant operations by welcoming and seating guests, maintaining clean dining areas, assisting servers, and handling takeout orders and payments as needed. The role includes accommodating guest preferences and seating requests, managing waits, communicating with servers, and helping ensure smooth restaurant operations. The Host also completes assigned side work and may fill in where needed as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

Responsibilities

Greet arriving guests warmly and promptly, and provide a friendly welcome.
Accommodate special seating requests when possible and seat guests according to their preferences and service-station flow.
When immediate seating is unavailable, record guest names and party sizes, provide estimated wait times, and call guests when tables become available.
Offer guests a menu upon seating and inspect tables for proper presentation and completeness.
Clean and reset tables after guests leave; clean chairs, booths, and surrounding carpet.
Process guest payments as quickly as possible and provide departing guests with a positive send-off and invitation to return.
Relay messages to servers as needed.
Maintain clean entrances, lobbies, dining rooms, and restrooms.
Assist servers with maintaining and stocking service stations.
Transport bus tubs of dirty dishes to the dish room when needed.
Take food and beverage orders from guests requesting takeout service and enter orders in the point-of-sale system.
Perform assigned side work at the start and end of each shift.
Fill in as needed to support smooth and efficient restaurant operations, as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
