About The Position

Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club is looking for Hosts to join our team. Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club is a revolutionized dining, drinking and entertainment establishment across from Delta Center in Fountain Plaza at The Gateway. Owned and operated by Las Vegas-headquartered Carver Road Hospitality, the complex will feature a restaurant, three bars, 400-square-feet of LED screens, private karaoke and golf simulator rooms, a central nightclub and a cocktail lounge with bowling. Open seven days a week, the restaurant will serve American bar and grill food favorites along with more eclectic offerings and playfully crafted desserts, all freshly prepared in the full kitchen.

Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.
  • Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
  • Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous host/hospitality experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook.
  • Anticipates and accommodates needs of the guest while providing professional and exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Provide guests with basic food and beverage information including special offerings and displays upselling skills
  • Able to assign seating considering service standards, staffing levels and kitchen capacity
  • Set up the host stand, review the reservation book, and maintaining general cleanliness and orderliness of the area throughout shift.
  • Assist with incoming calls and answering questions from guests and confirm reservations.
  • Seat reservations promptly at a table pre-set for the number in the party and hold chairs for guests as often as possible when seating them.
  • Protect establishment, guests, and employees by adhering to Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
  • Actively takes and processes reservations for guests, special orders, pre-payment information.
  • Perform side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management.
  • Responsible for making sure all menus are organized and current, taking weekly inventory of menu paper, menu backs and desk stationary
  • Reports all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
  • Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings.
  • Updates knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
  • Portrays a positive and professional attitude.
