About The Position

About Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar Carver Road Hospitality debuts Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. Steps from the walkway to Allegiant Stadium, the 8,445-square-foot destination is a dynamic fan, dining, and drinking experience. The menu of enhanced American classics features scratch burgers, sliders, shareable tacos, and a healthy selection of salads and bowls. A full beverage program includes signature cocktails and a vast selection of draft and bottled beer. Flanker is perfect for group dining and events with its highly customizable environments including a main dining room, bar and lounge, three private dining suites accommodating 20, 40, or 60 guests, a private 20-seat karaoke room, and a 24-seat dining patio.

Requirements

  • Previous host/hospitality experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge.
  • Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.
  • Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
  • Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
  • Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Guiding guests to their appropriate tables while making them feel welcome and responding to any inquiries.
  • Interacting with guests, employees and supervisors in a polite, respectful and courteous manner.
  • Maintaining professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook.
  • Anticipating and accommodating needs of the guest while providing professional and exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintaining the general cleanliness and orderliness of the entrance area.
  • Protecting establishment, guests and employees by adhering to Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
  • Actively taking and processing reservations for guests.
  • Calling guests to confirm upcoming reservations.
  • Assisting with incoming calls and answering questions from guests.
  • Checking guests’ coats and other belongings.
  • Assisting with setting up front desk area, performs side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management.
  • Making sure all menus are organized with current menus.
  • Reporting all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
  • Attending and participating in daily pre-service meetings.
  • Updating knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
  • Portraying a positive and professional attitude.
  • Working as part of a team and provides help and support to all employees.
