About The Position

As a Host for Traditions Hospitality at Springs at The Artesian Hotel, you are the first point of contact for guests. You provide a warm welcome, organize seating and waitlists, and help ensure a smooth dining experience. The role supports the flow of restaurant service and contributes to a welcoming, clean, and safe environment. Professional growth is encouraged through training, mentorship, and development opportunities.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years old; some locations or positions may require employees to be 18 or older due to operational or regulatory requirements.
Pass a background check.
Obtain a Gaming License if applicable.
Have a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Be able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Maintain a presentable appearance and clean uniforms.
Stand and work in a restaurant environment for extended periods.
Lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, accounting for server sections and reservations.
Manage the waitlist, provide accurate wait times, and keep guests updated on their status.
Answer phone calls and assist with reservations, inquiries, and special requests.
Maintain a clean and organized host stand and lobby.
Coordinate with servers and management to support smooth transitions between seating and service.
Assist with bussing and resetting tables as needed.
Provide friendly and attentive service throughout guests’ dining experiences.
Follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
